Labor Day/Birthday Camping trip!
For Labor Day weekend we decided to go camping out to the west desert to a great spot called Indian Springs. We left on my birthday which was Friday and came home on Labor Day. We had my dad and little brother Conner with us the whole time. And just for the first night we had Sis and Jason's family, minus sis. there too. She had church obligations on Saturday so she couldn't come. They don't do the camping thing much, so it was fun to see how much their kids loved it. They brought there 4-wheeler, but mostly their kids loved that we taught them how to ride the little kids motorcycles. Some were naturals at at it, others didn't catch on quite as fast, but all figured it out in the end. They left Saturday evening after a good ride up the canyon and exploring some old mines with us. And believe me, the kids really didn't want to go! The rest of the trip was full of lots of riding and exploring mines. I took it pretty easy on this trip since my feet are still recovering from surgery, but I still was able to do a bit of hiking to get to the mines and a bit of light riding on my motorcycle and come away from it with my feet only a bit sore. It just felt great to get outdoors and away from home for a little while. It was a great birthday trip and lots of fun for all!
